Long Island is known for it's boating. There are over 600 marinas to accomodate the boating
population. The harbors with a multitude of bays and inlets provide the homes for all these vessels.
The larger marinas have at least 75 slips or moorings at major Long Island ports. Docking fees vary.
At private marinas, you can pay anywhere from $40 to $130 per boat foot and public marinas can charge
as little as $30 per foot.
