Smithtown Long Island Restaurant Week

This week Smithtown will be hosting their Restaurant Week where the participating restaurants will be serving $25 prix-fixe three course meals.  It is a great way to get a savory meal especially during these recession times.  You can really top off the night by using a local limousine or black Long Island car service to get you there.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Huntington Long Island Town Clean-up

The streets of Huntington were covered in snow until late last night.  From 9pm-12am parking was restricted on New York Ave / 110 and Main Street Huntington and Huntington Township’s clean up crew moved in to begin the street cleaning.

It was impressive to see the big trucks and and pay loaders big and small quickly maneuvering to rid the streets of the masses of snow.

St. Patrick’s Day this year fall on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 the parade will be making its way through Huntington Sunday, March 8, 2009.  It will start at the north of the Huntington Train Station along New York Avenue before turing west onto Main Street

ending at Saint Patrick’s Church.

The parade is fun for the young and old.  Your children will be sure to enjoy the marching band stop in at Bon Bon’s.  The old can go to many of our local bars which are sure to be packed with the “Irish for the day”
