Radio Station Contests in Long Island
Radio is more then just music. Radio provides a distraction when in line, a motivation when exercising, and even an outlet to learn of new bands. But the best part of the radio is the bribery. Thats right, I love it when radio stations bribe me to listen to their shows. Whats the bribe? Free tickets to concerts, free artist merchandise, and if you’re lucky, cold hard cash! And all you have to do is be a loyal listener and eventually you will hear a contest that you can enter and win.
With so many stations and different contest types its difficult to keep track of all the offerings out there. So to help you out, here’s a list of a few popular radio stations in Long Island that have regular contests you can win.
92.3 K-Rock Contest Rules

The contests are open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the New York tri-state area.
They usually have several contests throughout the day and the lucky winner is most of the time caller number 92. Sometimes the DJ’s may goof around so don’t worry if when you call they don’t say you won right away. Once I called in for tickets and was told I was caller 91. Being frustrated, I hung up and heard on the radio a few minutes later that I was caller 92. If I played along and stayed on the line I could have gotten those tickets!

This station takes contests pretty serious. They have established the Q Workforce designed to network listeners better with the station. As a member of the workforce, if your name is called on the radio, and you call in on time, you are awarded $104. This is supposed to represent you “clocking into work” by calling and being paid $104 for the day’s work. And if you win any regular contests, as a member you may be eligible for a second round of contests or an upgrade such as better tickets, or more money. sign up is free and easy and it might come in handy when you call in for a prize.
