Blue Number Nine @ Crash Mansion
You’ve probably never heard of Blue Number Nine, but thats ok. You will very shortly.
They are celebrating their 4th studio album this Friday at the Crash Mansion in New York City. The cover is $10, and for an extra $15, you get their new release, Let’s Find a Way and a free vodka drink at the bar. The bands starts at 7:30pm, and the bar at 9pm. But don’t worry, there’s 3 other bands playing throughout the night.
So what makes this show different from the many other concerts in Manhattan this Friday? Well, take a look at who they are:
- The lead singer has won the ASCAP ASCAPLUS award several times for Popular Songwriting
- A tight, eclectic band consisting of members from Japan, US, Italy, and Serbia
- Opening performances for the Average White Band, and Chicago
- A busy tour schedule taking them across 10 states this summer. See them while you can!
Well that’s a nice resume up there for them, but what’s in it for you? Here’s what the band’s offering in return for your attendance, “Sexy dancers and singers, a lead singer with hyperspeed moves who switches in a blur from jammin’ on flute to singing her sassy and often funny lyrics, and groovy danceable tunes”
The band’s music is fun, and enjoyable. Not complicated, or confusing. You’re going to walk in and surrender yourself to the groove. It’s not even your old fashioned jazz, or electronica dance music. Its a combination of funk, r&b and rock that makes you move, whether you want to or not.
