The 2007 Huntington Lighthouse Jazz Festival was such a success, for the music and local economy, that the 2008 date has already been booked. The music starts at 12pm on Saturday, August 30th, and goes on till 5pm. The rain date is Sunday August 31st. (more…)

Who Is MGMT? Find out at the McCarren Park Pool in Brooklyn, Sunday July 27th at 2pm. The band will be playing with Black Moth Super Rainbow and the Ting Tings till dusk. If there’s one show to be excited for right now, I’d have to say this will be a blockbuster.

For 25 years, the North Shore LIJ Health System Foundation has been hosting a benefit concert to support the Breast Care Center in Glen Cove Hospital. On Saturday evening, June 14th, come help celebrate the 26th Annual Summer Picnic POPS Concert. The event is held at the Old Westbury Gardens, rain or shine.

They are celebrating their 4th studio album this Friday at the Crash Mansion in New York City. The cover is $10, and for an extra $15, you get their new release, Let’s Find a Way and a free vodka drink at the bar. The bands starts at 7:30pm, and the bar at 9pm. The 2008 Town of Hempstead Free Neighborhood Concert Series is held in several community venues across the Town of Hemptstead so be sure to check out the official website for location details.

The Hempstead Free Neighborhood Concert Series features several classic genres such as rockabilly, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s rock, dixieland, blues, motown and more.
