Suffolk County along with Nassau County makes up the geographic area known as Long island. Long Island is in the southeastern corner New York state. Nassau County is east of New York City. Suffolk County is east of Nassau County.
Nassau County has two independent cities of Glen Cove and Long Beach. There are three towns: the Town of Hempstead, the Town of North Hempstead, and the Town of Oyster Bay. This guide to Long Island towns has one or more town pages for each of the townships in Nassau County and Suffolk County.
